  1. That trip we made to Graniteville, SC was to attend a NMRA meet. At the depot (actually a reproduction) they have a fairly large and very nicely constructed HO display model railroad. It winds through the second floor behind large glass displays with each scene a different town. Here’s one scene ..

    • Ed,
They’re all great photos Thanks for sharing. Just out of curiosity in this last picture what do you think that cobble stone road done with.

  2. Good Morning Guys,
Coffee’s on and I have Canadian Bacon and eggs any way you want’em, so come on in and sit a while and enjoy.

  3. Good morning and thanks for the coffee and breakfast (lunch) Ralph.

Great pictures Ed, looks like a very well done layout. To bad they have to put glass in front of everything, but I understand why.

    Gary, Nice bridge

Today I hope to get some scenery done, If I do, I’ll post a picture or too.

  4. I feel like I’m at a speak-easy and need to say “Larry sent me” :~)

Nice to see most of the gang here and thanks Ed for setting it up.

Still waiting for the forum to come back to life.
I know there are still many here in NJ with no power.
We only lost power for two days, but my brother who lives about 20 minutes away is still without.
My guess is the forum won’t be back till Monday or Tuesday.

  5. Afternoon all,
Well I got some RR time today, after I cut up the downed limbs in the yard and a small widow maker. Ran some locos over all of the RR, moving some rolling stock around too. Here is the Brass project shay I acquired at the Hudson meet, the only thing I bought. Found out I have the same water bunker as a part for it too. I also looked at using a forney brass cab I have for it, still leaning towards a plantation look. Right now its ON3.

  6. Les,

That is a pretty nifty looking loco!

Getting antsy without the RRL forum.. weird not being able to check everything out for over a week. Hope it gets back online soon. Have been doing plenty of work on the module and will post pictures soon.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

  7. Cool stuff Less !!

Another test today using 10, 6 and 2mm fibers with the grassmaster and compressed air. After that a coat from below with WS green grass fine turf….

  8. Arthur,
Yeah I wouldn’t attempt a full kit of parts, not that stable of mind to go at it. This one runs…so to speak..apply transformer to engine wires. I will need to install pickups, the great thing is I can build away at it.

Here is kind wah I am looking for… The bunker on mine wrapps around the motor, I might make it a oil version or wood and stack wook over and around. it. I have brass tractor seats…the ones with the holes in them I am thinking about too.

    • Martin,
These trees are amazing. I’m looking to make some tall trees as well can you describe your process in greater detail?

  9. It’s quit easy Les, adding fibers with sprayglue and the grassmaster I blow with compressed air from the top of the tree downwards. Al the fibers are pointing downwards. Do this with every step adding 10, 6 and 2mm fibers. Sprayglue from below also when adding the WS fine turf. Leaves the top of the main branches bare naked..

  10. Rick,
$1.00 for some canadian club at the speak easy. :-).
    Les neat shay.
    Martin the trees look great.
I had a great day at the airshow. 4 P51’s and a bunch of Zero’s and some B51’s still flying. They were offering P51 rids for $1500, I wish I was rich.
