According to Wikipedia .. In literature, genre has been known as an intangible taxonomy. Intangibles is most commonly used to describe things that are recognized but not easily quantified. Taxonomy derives from Ancient Greek for taxis “arrangement” and nomia “method” .. or the science of identifying and naming species.
Well. Having quoted that .. I’m just going to move on and toss out my own Genre definitions here. One of the things I find interesting in Model Railroading is finding cool resources. These days that means the internet mostly .. but there are still ‘books’. These can be either actual paper or increasingly digital versions. The question arises though as to what’s good .. and what’s not. With that in mind I am going to post up links to books with the intention of getting feedback on .. what’s good and what’s .. not. |
