Eighteen – IV

I first used a Tamiya Surface Primer – but – it was white .. not what I wanted as the base for the look I wanted of weathered wood. I grabbed a can of cheap Walmart gray primer and used that to get a gray base. I have the interior stairs and porch back wall as separate parts so I can more easily paint them.
I used a brush to streak the gray surface .. various craft paints .. FolkArt #2561 Steel Gray, Apple Barrel #20575 Sandstone and Apple Barrel #20505 Antique White. The hardest part was to let this dry well .. overnight worked for me.
The MIG Dark Wash. This is an enamel wash so it takes a while to dry – at least overnight – two days even better.
